Led Zeppelin se fait pardonner deux années de silence en sortant en 1975 un magnifique double album, un peu écrasé par la succès monstrueux de "Kashmir" qui scelle le rapprochement avec la musique orientale. Le synthétiseur est utilisé plus qu'à l'accoutumée, et c'est l'occasion de souligner la place importante de John Paul Jones, aux claviers, souvent discret sur les autres disques.
